Police have identified the teenage driver injured in the single-car crash that sheared two light poles Friday night along East Mill Plain Boulevard.

Witnesses say Rigoberto Cabrera Ramirez, 19, of Vancouver was driving a 1991 Honda Accord near the intersection of East Mill Plain Boulevard and East Reserve Street when he lost control of the car and severed two metal light poles in the center median, pulling down a power line.

The street was closed for about an hour Friday night.

Ramirez was taken to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center with injuries that were not life-threatening and discharged from the hospital Saturday. Alcohol is suspected as a factor, but police are still investigating the cause of the collision.
