Social media helped police arrest a man who allegedly robbed a Hazel Dell bank earlier this month.

On Tuesday, Clark County Sheriff’s Office tactical detectives, with assistance from the U.S. Marshals Service, arrested Victor Jesus Delgado, 26, who was living as a transient in Portland.

Delgado’s arrest resulted from a tip when Delgado’s picture was recognized after his photo was circulated on Twitter.

Delgado was arrested on suspicion of robbing Riverview Community Bank, 1220 N.E. 88th St. in Hazel Dell, just after 10 a.m. on June 4. He was booked into the Multnomah County Jail on Tuesday but has since been transported to the Clark County Jail.
