PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Mets first baseman Lucas Duda returned to New York before Saturday’s game against the Philadelphia Phillies to have an MRI on his left side.

Duda, batting .235 with 11 homers and 23 RBIs in 68 games, felt discomfort following New York’s 4-3 win over Philadelphia on Friday night. Duda, usually an outfielder for New York, has been filling in at first base for Ike Davis, who was demoted to Triple-A Las Vegas June 10. In 11 games with Las Vegas, Davis is batting .333 with four homers and eight RBIs.

The Mets started Daniel Murphy at first base on Saturday against the Philadelphia Phillies.
