SHERWOOD, Ore. — Sherwood police have placed Officer Adam Keesee on paid leave pending the outcome of an investigation of his wife, Denise Keesee. She is accused of having sex with two students when she taught at Sherwood High School.

Officer Keesee was a resource officer at the school. Police said they would have no further comment on Tuesday’s decision to place him on leave.

Denise Keesee was charged last week in Washington County Circuit Court with sexual abuse. She taught algebra and coached soccer. She was placed on leave in November and resigned in May. A lawsuit was filed last week against her and the district by one of the victims seeking more than $5 million.

Adam Keesee worked at the school until December when he was reassigned.
