CHICAGO (AP) — The Cleveland Indians have recalled right-hander Trevor Bauer from Triple-A Columbus and added righty Carlos Carrasco as their 26th man in time to start Friday’s doubleheader games against the Chicago White Sox.

The Indians also sent left-hander Nick Hagadone to Triple-A.

Bauer was scheduled to start Game 1 against Chicago’s Hector Santiago, with Carrasco pitching the second game against Jose Quintana. Teams are allowed to carry 26 active players for certain doubleheaders, and manager Terry Francona said both pitchers would be sent back to Columbus.

Reliever Matt Langwell will be recalled to take Bauer’s spot after Game 1.
