It seems to me that every time someone sneezes in Israel (the wrong way), it's reported. Case in point is the reporting of Israel's Ashkenazi rabbi "mishandling" funds. A June 24 story, "Chief Israeli rabbi suspends himself amid investigation," was published in The Columbian. This is an internal matter, and it is dealt with by the government of the Jewish state. It seems there might be better use for the ink. Many wonderful things are happening in Israel, so I recommend that editors zero in on those. As for the readers of Clark County, I recommend the broadcast from Jerusalem at 10 p.m. Thursdays on Comcast cable Channel 20.
