ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) — The Detroit Tigers and Tampa Bay Rays were warned by home plate umpire Vic Carapazza after Tigers pitcher Rick Porcello hit Rays second baseman Ben Zobrist with a pitch in the first inning of Sunday’s game.

The incident came one day after Tigers slugger Miguel Cabrera yelled at the Tampa Bay dugout after he struck out in the 10th inning against Rays closer Fernando Rodney. The Tampa Bay right-hander threw an in-tight-and-up pitch to back Cabrera off the plate during the at-bat.

Zobrist walked to first base after being struck with two outs and no one on base. Both dugouts stayed calm and nothing further developed from the incident.
