Mount St Mary’s beats Fairleigh Dickinson 103-82

HACKENSACK, N.J. (AP) — Shivaughn Wiggins scored 28 points as Mount St. Mary’s beat Fairleigh Dickinson 103-82 Saturday in the Northeast Conference season finale for both teams.

Sam Prescott scored 17 points, Julian Norfleet added 15, and Rashad Whack chipped in 13 to help Mount St. Mary’s (16-13, 11-7) win its seventh straight game.

After Mustafaa Jones’ 3-pointer cut Fairleigh Dickinson’s deficit to 52-45, Mount St. Mary’s went on an 18-10 run capped by Whack’s 3-pointer to go up 72-58 with 10:52 remaining.

The Knights made it 76-67 with 7:54 left, but a jumper by Sam Prescott pushed the lead to 78-67 at the 7:46 mark. The Mount led by double figures the rest of the way.

Gregory Graves had 10 points and a game-high nine boards to help Mount St. Mary’s outrebound Fairleigh Dickinson 49-28.

Melquan Bolding scored 19 points for the Knights (7-24, 2-16), who end the season with 15 straight losses.
