Black, Morgan State down Delaware State 66-47

BALTIMORE (AP) — Justin Black scored 20 points and Morgan State won its fourth straight game, avenging a loss to Delaware State with a 66-47 victory Monday night.

Black was 9-of-13 shooting as the Bears (13-14, 9-6 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) shot 50.9 percent (27 of 53) one game after setting a season high with 59.7-percent shooting against Maryland-Eastern Shore.

In a Feb. 18 victory, the Hornets (13-16, 8-7) overcame a 16-point deficit to pull out a 52-50 win over Morgan State.

The Bears again jumped ahead early Monday, leading 35-21 at halftime. This time, Morgan State kept its foot on the gas, stretching the lead to as many as 24 points after the intermission.

Shaquille Duncan added 11 points and Anthony Hubbard 10 for Morgan State.

Delaware State outrebounded the Bears 43-28, but trailed most of the game thanks to 30.4-percent shooting (17 of 56), including 26.7 percent (8 of 30) before halftime.
