Esther Short -- A woman born in South Africa, with a keen understanding of "the rights we take for granted," was the keynote speaker at the Washington State Daughters of the American Revolution two-day management meeting in late February at the Red Lion Hotel Vancouver at the Quay. Keynote speaker Dixie Kolditz, now a U.S. citizen living in Cathlamet, spoke to more than 120 DAR members from around the state.
The meeting was hosted by the DAR's Fort Vancouver Chapter.
