EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) — After 10 years, the long-delayed retail and entertainment complex at New Jersey’s Meadowlands may finally be entering the homestretch.

Construction on the megamall off the New Jersey Turnpike is expected to resume soon after lengthy delays over financing and traffic concerns. It could be completed by next fall, but that won’t be in time for the 2014 Super Bowl to be played at adjacent MetLife Stadium.

American Dream Meadowlands is to feature retail stores, restaurants, an indoor ski and snowboard park and Hollywood theme park.

The latest hurdle has involved the New York Jets and New York Giants, who have opposed the mall being open on game days due to traffic and parking concerns. The parties have been negotiating for the last several months but haven’t reached an agreement.
