INDIAN WELLS, Calif. (AP) — Petra Kvitova, Maria Kirilenko, Sara Errani and Roberta Vinci moved into the third round of the BNP Paribas Open at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden on Friday.

Kvitova, the No. 5 seed, ousted Olga Govortsova of Belarus 6-4, 3-6, 6-3, in a match that took 2 hours and 21 minutes and finished with each player having won 110 points.

Kvitova struggled with her serve and her five aces were offset by 10 double faults.

The difference were the two service breaks the 2011 Wimbledon champion got while winning the final three games of the match. She converted 6 of 17 break points to 5 of 16 for Govortsova.

Errani, the No. 7 seed, needed three sets and 2 hours, 2 minutes to defeat Lourdes Dominguez Lino of Spain, 6-2, 3-6, 6-3.
