MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. (AP) — Pro day at Central Michigan received a little more buzz than usual.

Offensive tackle Eric Fisher, whose stock seems to be rising as the NFL draft approaches, took part in drills Monday at the Chippewas’ indoor practice facility. That was about all he did, since he said he was happy with his results at the NFL combine, but Fisher’s presence helped draw plenty of representatives from pro teams — and that may have given some of his Central Michigan teammates a little more attention.

A CMU spokesman estimated that pro day drew representatives from over twice as many NFL teams as last year. Fisher, a third-team AP All-American, could be one of the top five players taken in the draft.
