SURPRISE, Ariz. (AP) — Hunter Pence doubled, tripled and drove in both runs Monday in the San Francisco Giants’ 2-1 victory over the Texas Rangers.

Madison Bumgarner allowed a hit and a walk in four scoreless innings, his longest outing of spring training. Bumgarner struck out four and retired his final eight batters.

After Kensuke Tanaka and Tony Abreu reached on infield singles in the third against Yu Darvish, Pence followed with an RBI double down the right-field line. Nick Noonan and Pence hit consecutive triples in the fifth off closer Joe Nathan.

Mitch Moreland doubled in the fifth and scored on Mike Olt’s groundout.

Darvish struck out five in 3 2-3 innings, allowing five hits and walking none.
