Prep highlights: Powell scores 4 goals for Seton Catholic soccer

Erik Powell scored four goals as the Seton Catholic boys soccer team opened play in the Class 1A Trico League with a 4-0 victory over Stevenson.

Powell scored on assists from Jimmy McGinley, Josh Balsiger, Josh Polen and Brian Wang.

Stars of the day

• Baseball: Dakota Clevidence went 3 for 3 with a double and four RBI as Heritage beat Prairie 10-0.

• Softball: Colleen Driscoll pitched a four-hit shutout with five strikeouts and went 2 for 3 from the plate as Mountain View beat Union 3-0.

• Softball: Rebecca Irvin went 3 for 4 with a home run and three RBI as Hockinson beat Fort Vancouer 13-3.

• Softball: Katie Schroeder pitched a five-inning no-hitter, recording 11 of her 15 outs by strikeout as Camas beat Washougal 12-0.

• Softball: Krystina Fischer struck out 10 over six innings as Battle Ground beat Hudson's Bay 12-1.

• Softball: Makayla Lafever had 11 strikeouts in five innings in Woodland's 3-2 win over Prairie.

• Boys soccer: Jonathan Carothers recorded five saves as King's Way Christian beat La Center 1-0.
