DENVER (AP) — New York Knicks center Tyson Chandler will not return after bruising his left knee in the second quarter against the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday night.

Chandler fell to the floor after appearing to bump knees with Nuggets forward Corey Brewer. Chandler stayed down for several minutes before standing up and trying to test out the knee.

Unable to put any weight on it, Chandler was assisted into the locker room by teammates. He had four points and two rebounds in nearly 18 minutes.

This is the latest blow for the banged-up Knicks, who were already without Amare Stoudemire (right knee) and Rasheed Wallace (foot). Carmelo Anthony is playing through a nagging right knee ailment.
