Girl hurt
A 2-year-old girl was seriously injured Saturday when she fell from playground equipment at a Woodland apartment complex, according to Clark County Fire & Rescue.
Rescuers were called to the Tulip Valley Apartments, 1968 Woodside St., at about 7 p.m., said Battalion Chief Tim Dawdy.
Dawdy said the girl had struck her head in the fall and was seriously injured. Rescuers requested LifeFlight and established a landing zone at the Woodland State Airport as paramedics from AMR transported the girl from the accident scene.
The girl was flown to a trauma center at Legacy Emanuel in Portland, Dawdy said.
“Our thoughts and hopes are with the family for the child,” he said.
The girl's name was not released.
