The Clark County Food System Council is seeking new members to help increase and preserve access to safe, local and healthy food for Clark County residents.
Council members promote healthy foods in schools, encourage community garden programs and support related projects. Members also encourage community education about the value of locally grown food.
Council members represent nutrition and education, food security, waste management, resource conservation, agriculture, food distribution and community leaders. Members must live or work in Clark County.
The council meets 4 to 6 p.m. on the fourth Thursday of each month at the 78th Street Heritage Farm, 1919 N.E. 78th St., in Vancouver. Members are asked to commit to a two-year term.
