Couple celebrate 70th wedding anniversary

Van Mall -- Robert and Katharine Williams will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary with a private family party. They met in college in Seattle and married on March 21, 1943, before Robert joined the Army and left to fight in World War II. They have two daughters, one in Portland and one in Yacolt. The couple live in Courtyard Village, 4555 N.E. 66th Ave.
