Ryan Villopoto wins in Toronto

TORONTO (AP) — Ryan Villopoto raced to his fourth straight victory and seventh in the first 12 rounds of the AMA Supercross season, holding off Davi Millsaps in front of 48,669 fans at Rogers Centre.

Villopoto, the Monster Energy Kawasaki rider from Poulsbo, Wash., increased his lead in the 450SX Class standings to 12 points over second-place Millsaps.

Villopoto took the lead from Millsaps on the 11th lap in the 20-lap event and pulled away for his 31st career victory and second straight in Toronto.

In the 250SX Class, Red Bull KTM’s Marvin Musquin, from France, won his third consecutive race in the Eastern Regional Championship.
