JOHANNESBURG (AP) — The brother of Oscar Pistorius is in a South African court on trial for the death of a woman in a road collision in 2008.
Carl Pistorius arrived Wednesday at the Vanderbijlpark Magistrate’s Court in Johannesburg to face a charge of culpable homicide, or unlawful, negligent killing.
He was accompanied by his sister, Aimee. There was no sign of Oscar Pistorius, the double-amputee Olympian charged with murdering his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp, on Feb. 14 at his home.
Oscar Pistorius is free on bail. His lawyers plan to challenge his bail restrictions in another court on Thursday.
