NEW YORK (AP) — Royal Lahaina extended her winning streak to three, holding off Roman Invader by a half- length Friday in the $69,000 allowance feature for fillies and mares at Aqueduct.
The trailer for most of the mile, the 1-2 favorite split rivals turning for home and dug in for her fifth win in 19 starts. Cornelio Velasquez rode for trainer Gustavo Rodriguez as the 5-year-old paid $3.10, $2.10 and $2.10.
Roman Invader returned $3 and $2.30, and Zaphyra paid $2.40 to show.
The time was 1:36.74.
