Letter: How to solve the litter problem

The Columbian
Published:

Will people ever quit dumping trash on our roads? It seems to be getting worse.

It’s such a shame to mar our beautiful landscaping.

Every winter we visit in the Palm Beach, Fla. area. Seldom do you see trash on the streets and highways in Florida, maybe because residential garbage pickup is mandatory, with charges added to their property taxes for twice a week pick-up.

What can we do in our area? More fines? Education? Please, let’s stop this ugly habit.
