Oscar Golberg of Columbia River baseball was voted The Columbian’s high school athlete of the week for the week of April 22-27 in a vote by fans on Facebook.
Golberg collected 42 percent of the 283 votes cast to beat out Alexis Fuller of Union track and field, who had 41 percent.
Golberg went 8 for 11 with three doubles, a home run and four RBI as River won its final three games to earn a share of the 3A GSHL championship..
The other nominees were Shannon Boyle of Ridgefield softball, Marcus Gaylor of Columbia River track and field and Jared Williams of Ridgefield soccer.
