Letter: Madore rules over oligarchy

The Columbian
Published: May 6, 2013, 5:00pm

Thank you for your thorough coverage of the latest David Madore debacle. I recall that he funded his election campaign mainly out of his own deep pockets. Why are we surprised that he continues to demonstrate his disinterest in the democratic process? Since he took office he’s been throwing his weight around like a Russian oligarch — our own Vladimir Putin with his toady Tom, changing rules, appointing unqualified cronies.

Is Don Benton’s appointment a reward for leading the charge against the Columbia River Crossing in Olympia?
