Letter: Use votes, voices against NRA

Ninety percent of the American population wants Congress to support stronger gun control, background checks (and records), smaller magazines and no assault rifles — 90 percent!

That includes Democrats, Republicans and National Rifle Association members.

I can’t believe we’ve allowed the NRA officers to take over our Congress. Congress is supposed to represent the people, not a few NRA activists.

We the people are paying the salaries of members of Congress, their health care and their retirements. What are we getting for this?

Why are we putting up with a Congress whose members have been bought and paid for by the NRA? Fine, the NRA has the money, but we have the votes and our voices — let’s use them.
