INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Indianapolis signed six of its seven draft picks Thursday and added one more undrafted rookie on the eve of a three-day rookie mini-camp.
The Colts said they have signed offensive linemen Hugh Thornton and Khaled Holmes, their third and fourth-round picks; fifth-rounder Montori Hughes, a defensive tackle; safety John Boyett, a sixth-round choice; and two seventh-round picks, Kerwynn Williams, a running back, and tight end Justice Cunningham.
Indy also signed Purdue offensive lineman Rick Schmeig.
Terms of the deals were not immediately available.
That leaves linebacker Bjoern Werner, Indy’s first-round pick who is making the switch from college defensive end, as the only unsigned rookie. Werner was taken 24th overall.
Indy’s rookie mini-camp opens Friday and runs through Sunday and all of the rookies are expected to attend.
