The Columbian’s May 3 editorial, “In our view: Benton Hire is an Insult,” clearly shows the newspaper’s bias. As an employer and small businessman in Clark County the past 30 years, I have watched well-meaning but poor decisions burden our community.
We have been taken over by staff decisions adopted by county commissioners who failed to see the consequences.
Don Benton as a small businessman has reached out to the business community and will bring a new and much-needed perspective. Why don’t you give him support instead of undercutting him before he assumes the position? You are too apparent.
