Three people were injured Saturday in a two-car collision on state Highway 14 in Washougal, according to the Washington State Patrol.

A WSP bulletin said Nova J. McChesney, 23, of Vancouver was driving a 1997 Ford Escort west on the ramp from 32nd Street near the Washougal city limits at 2:37 p.m. when she attempted to make a U-turn at the end of the ramp to go east. Her car was struck by a 2006 Ford Escape driven west by Michel R. Shirley of Washougal.

McChesney was taken to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center, as was Francis E. Lukesh, 53, a passenger in Shirley’s vehicle. They were both reported in satisfactory condition Saturday evening.

Shirley was injured but not taken to a hospital.

McChesney will be charged with making an unsafe U-turn, the WSP reported.
