INGLEWOOD, Calif. (AP) — Defending champion Dhaamer won the $73,850 Round Table Handicap by 2 14 lengths at Betfair Hollywood Park on Sunday, keeping the 6-year-old gelding undefeated on the track’s turf course.

Ridden by Garrett Gomez, Dhaamer ran 1 12 miles in 2:26.96 and paid $3.20, $2.20 and $2.10 as the 3-5 favorite. Last year, Dhaamer won the race by 4 14 lengths. He’s 3-0 on the turf course.

“That was pretty easy,” Gomez said.

Lime Rickey returned $2.80 and $2.20, while Niagara Falls was another 1 34 lengths back in third and paid $2.80 to show.

The victory was the sixth in 17 career starts for Dhaamer, who has earnings of $258,682.

Edwin Maldonado rode three winners on the card.
