Interim Vancouver Police Chief Chris Sutter has been released from the hospital after he collapsed at the Law Enforcement Memorial Ceremony this morning.

Officers from various agencies gathered around Sutter as he laid on the ground for about 15 minutes. Sutter appeared to have hit his head on the courtyard at the Clark County Public Service Center.

Medical personnel said that he was all right and told them he wanted to walk away, but as a precaution he was transported to Legacy Emanuel Medical Center.

Area law enforcement gathered for the ceremony, held at 11 a.m. today, to honor the lives of officers who died in the line of duty.
