Andrea Young, a senior at Union, is going to Oregon State to continue her swimming career.

Young finished sixth in the Class 4A state meet in the 200 individual medley and eighth in the 100 breaststroke in the fall.

She earned athletic and academic scholarship money to OSU.

Prairie senior Preston Brooks, who was voted to The Columbian’s All-Region boys basketball team this winter, is set to play at Multnomah University in Portland, a member of the National Christian College Athletic Association.

It is the same school his father, Prairie coach Kyle Brooks, played for in the 1980s.
