Letter: Research is healthy advancement

The Columbian

Hooray for amazing and happy news in the May 16 story, “Stem cells recovered from cloned human embryos: Oregon researcher hopes to treat disease, not clone babies,” to counter all the negative information out there.

Stem cell research will be used to treat Parkinson’s and diabetes. Oregon Health & Science University scientists have developed a procedure that will save lives. Seems unique in this age of war and killing.
