A 71-year-old woman who possibly has Alzheimer’s was reported missing to the Portland Police Bureau Thursday.

Jacqueline McLain had not been seen or heard from since Monday, according to her adult children, who are out-of-state. They said it was out of character for her, as she usually has daily contact with family.

McLain lives in the 2400 block of Northwest Irving Street in Portland, where officers responded Thursday to check on her. She was not located and there was no evidence of foul play found inside her apartment, the bureau said.

She could have left on foot or may have been driving, as officers could not locate her car.

McLain is a white woman 5-foot 2-inches tall and 120 pounds, with curly collar-length blonde hair and blue eyes. She may also go by Evelyn, police said.

Her vehicle is a beige 1997 Lexus ES300 four-door sedan with beige interior. It may have a GPS attached to the front windshield and has Oregon license plates.

Anyone with information about McLain’s whereabouts is asked to call 911. Those with additional information about her are asked to contact Detective Mike Weinstein with Portland’s Missing Persons Unit at 503-823-0446 or Mike.Weinstein@portlandoregon.gov.
