ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) — Yankees right fielder Curtis Granderson was hit in the left arm by a pitch and later left the game.

Granderson was hit by Cesar Ramos’ pitch in the fifth inning of Friday night’s game against Tampa Bay and at first stayed in the game. He later scored, but was replaced defensively by Ichiro Suzuki in the bottom of the inning.

No other information about Granderson’s departure was immediately available.

Granderson missed the first 38 games this season with a broken right forearm, the result of a hit by pitch in his first at-bat at spring training.
