Letter: Citizens’ voices are top priority

The Columbian
Published: May 26, 2013, 5:00pm

Clark County Commissioner David Madore at one time stated (he later relented) that he wanted to get county business done first during meetings. Citizen input can wait. So, listening to the citizens of Clark County is not of any interest to this county commissioner? The all-knowing, all-wise commissioner does not need to hear us, listen to us, consider our input, or in any way respect us.

Even those of you who think it is OK for Don Benton to be the “chosen one” should pay close attention to the fact that Madore and Tom Mielke think they can do whatever they want. The next issue may be one in which you find yourself in disagreement with the commissioners. Know now that your word was almost disregarded.
