Kudos to Donna McGrew for her hilariously poignant May 22 Everybody Has a Story, “Rooster ruled the yard on the family farm” about her childhood days. I am again reminded of those “old days” when each person in the family had chores and responsibilities. Everyone chipped in and kids grew up with a sense of family togetherness. Again, I remember why I subscribe to The Columbian. I enjoy human-interest stories like this one, plus opinion columns by Thomas Sowell and George Will. And, I am enlightened and sometimes amused and exasperated by news of our local and national politicians. My daily paper and my faithful delivery person are much appreciated.
