LANGLEY — The Island County sheriff’s office says a holiday weekend landslide on Whidbey Island isn’t threatening any homes.

KOMO-TV reports no evacuations have been ordered after the 300-foot slide north of Langley.

Det. Ed Wallace says it appears the slide damaged or knocked down several power poles, causing outages in the area. Monday’s slide is not in the same area as the destructive March landslide that knocked one home off its foundation and threatened dozens more.
