The Love is a Radical Act organization will distribute ceramic heart ornaments throughout Battle Ground on Saturday to speak out against bullying and honor youths who recently committed suicide in the area.

Through an activity known as “he(art) bombing,” volunteers will hang the ornaments in public places throughout the city. Those who want to participate can show up at 5 p.m. Saturday at the Sea Mar health center at 701 E. Main St. in Battle Ground.

Love is a Radical Act is a project created by Sam MacKenzie and Kelly Keigwin, same-sex marriage advocates who were able to legally marry late last year. They started the art project and accompanying blog to celebrate both gay and straight families. The group says it hopes to show on Saturday that love and acceptance will create a better world.
