BALTIMORE (AP) — The Baltimore Orioles have recalled second baseman Ryan Flaherty from Triple-A Norfolk and optioned infielder Yamaico Navarro to the same minor league club.
The Orioles announced the move Wednesday before their game against Washington. Flaherty was in the starting lineup for Baltimore.
Flaherty was batting .133 in 30 games for the Orioles before being optioned to Norfolk on May 18. He then hit .265 with two homers and five RBIs in eight games with Tides.
Navarro hit .286 in eight games with Baltimore. Both his RBIs came against Washington on Monday.
