Police: Woman stabbed in Vancouver Walmart parking lot

Vancouver police are investigating a stabbing was reported late Thursday night in the parking lot of an Ogden neighborhood business.

A female was sleeping in her vehicle in the parking lot of Walmart, 7809 N.E. Vancouver Plaza Drive, when about 11:30 p.m., a man pulled her out of the car and stabbed her, Vancouver Police Department spokeswoman Kim Kapp said.

The man, described as a white male in his early 20s with a mustache and wearing a hooded jacket, then drove away in a small dark-colored vehicle, Kapp said.

Police did not locate the suspect.

The woman suffered stab wounds to her arm and right chest area, Kapp said. Her injuries were not life-threatening.

Information about the woman was not released, and the investigation into the crime is continuing.
