BELLEVUE — Seven people have been injured in a two-alarm apartment fire in Bellevue.

Fire Department Lt. Rich Burke says two with significant injuries have been taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle and five with minor injuries have been taken to hospitals on Seattle’s east side.

One of the people with minor injuries is a firefighter who cut her hand.

The fire broke out about 6:30 a.m. Tuesday morning at the Hampton Greens apartment complex. Burke says the fire took about an hour-and-a-half to control. It may take days to determine the cause.

Burke says the fire has nearly destroyed one three-story building with 10 units. He says firefighters have to remove a heavy tile roof before they go inside.

More than 100 firefighters and police officers are at the scene.
