Lacamas Community Credit Union recently donated $250 to a local non-profit organization to benefit the Washougal Police Department K-9 unit.

Members of Dog Owners Group for Park Access in Washington volunteered to raise money for the purchase and training of Ranger, who is the successor to the now retired WPD K-9 Dingo. The group exceeded its initial goal of $15,000.

LCCU also gave $500 to Fort Vancouver High School. The funds will be used for student supplies.

“Lacamas believes in giving back to the communities we serve through our Community Partnership Program, event sponsorship and scholarship program,” said Lacamas President/CEO Kathleen Romane. “We support the credit union philosophy of People Helping People by raising funds throughout the year that meet local needs.”
