Letter: ACA is harming small businesses

Published:

I’m a small-business owner and the changes we have seen in health care over the past two years for my business have been severe: 45 percent increase in premiums. Many doctors, medical care centers and hospitals have sent my employees letters indicating they no longer accept our insurance policy. There is very little information out there that is concrete to base a plan for the future, which is harmful to me hiring good candidates and retaining excellent employees.

Based on my experience and observations of what is going on this is no more than a complete takeover of the health care system without any regard to who it may impact. The only groups that can deal with this are very large companies who have the human resource professionals and government entities, which really don’t care anyway since we pay their bills.

I’m convinced that Obamacare is going to be terrible for the small-business owner and the American dream.
