Cyclometer wins opening feature at Hollywood Park

INGLEWOOD, Calif. (AP) — Cyclometer took the lead approaching the stretch and won the $63,544 feature by 214 lengths on opening day of the final autumn meet at Betfair Hollywood Park.

The track will close for good on Dec. 22 to make way for retail and residential development.

Ridden by Mike Smith, Cyclometer ran 612 furlongs on Cushion Track in 1:15.71 and paid $5.60, $2.80 and $2.10.

Hear the Ghost returned $2.40 and $2.10 as the even-money favorite in his first start since March 9. Atta Boy Pete was another nose back in third and paid $2.80 to show.

Cyclometer won for the fourth time in 15 career starts, and increased his earnings to $250,554.

Rafael Bejarano rode three winners on the card.
