La Verdad wins Big A feature

NEW YORK (AP) — La Verdad extended her winning streak to three with a dominant victory Thursday in the $64,000 allowance feature for New York-bred fillies and mares at Aqueduct.

In her first start since May, La Verdad set the pace and rolled to an 834-length score over Hot Stones. The even-money favorite, a 3-year-old trained by Linda Rice and ridden by Jose Ortiz, ran the six furlongs in 1:11.52 over the track rated good.

La Verdad paid $4.20, $2.90 and $2.20. Hot Stones returned $3.10 and $2.40 while Kitty Panda paid $2.70 to show.
