MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) — Michael Dixon Jr. scored 18 points, Dominic Woodson added 14 on a perfect shooting night as No. 13 Memphis defeated Christian Brothers 92-63 in an exhibition game Friday night.

Woodson’s 7-of-7 shooting and 7 of 10 from Dixon were part of the Tigers hitting 52 percent from the field. Nick King had 12 points and 10 rebounds for Memphis, while Geron Johnson added 11 points.

Drew Hildreth led the Buccaneers with 18 points, hitting 8 of 17 shots, but missing 4 of 5 from outside the arc. Christian Brothers, of the Gulf South Conference, shot 36 percent for the game and committed 19 turnovers.

Memphis led 47-35 at halftime.

The Tigers pressed through much of the game — part of Memphis coach Josh Pastner’s commitment for a faster pace this season. Pastner substituted freely throughout the game with nobody playing more than King’s 22 minutes.
