East Carolina storms past NC Wesleyan 97-51

GREENVILLE, N.C. (AP) — Paris Roberts-Campbell scored 21 points to lead East Carolina to a 97-51 win over NC Wesleyan on Friday night.

Roberts-Campbell, the lone returning starter for East Carolina, went 8 for 14 with a trio of 3-pointers. Three more Pirates scored in the double digits: Akeem Richmond, with 15 points and three 3-pointers, Caleb White with 13, and Brandan Stith with 12 and five steals.

The Pirates shot 57 percent from the field, and extended their win streak to six games, having closed out last season with five straight victories.

Josh Morrison scored 12 points for NC Wesleyan, which lost three starters this season, including its leading scorer. The Bishops shot just 32 percent from the field and turned over the ball 16 times.
