Letter: Most actions are only human

The Columbian
Published: November 7, 2013, 4:00pm

The Oct. 27 editorial proposed that “it’s time to rein in NSA: Spy agency’s actions, both domestic and foreign, hurt government at home, abroad.” Those who look for ethical proclivities or moral tendencies will never find these qualities in our government or any government.

Before we chastise institutions, we must quickly remind ourselves of its constituents: humans and their nature — living vessels overflowing with hypocrisy — are the most abundant element in our character and substance.
