Letter: One returns, but another is dropped

The Nov. 3 story headlined “Medicaid to restore full dental” grabbed my attention.

I am a Medicare recipient, and as an option, I chose to pay the premium for dental coverage that was offered. This fee is in addition to the Medicare health coverage and all is taken from my check each month. It has been a great help in keeping my teeth in good condition, which at my age is quite important, by allowing me to regularly see my dentist.

A few weeks back, my husband and I received our new 2014 annual notice of changes that will be effective in January, and to our surprise (more like shock), dental coverage will no longer be offered to Medicare participants.

I guess I will be looking for a dental plan somewhere out there that will insure me at a reasonable cost.
